Community Hub for Children

A safe space for primary aged children to feel supported through play

  • 1 hour
  • Donation Only
  • Friar Gate

Service Description

The community hub is a funded session for primary aged children to help support them with their mental health and well-being. The hub is run by the team at Bridge the Gap, there will be two practitioners there to support and deliver activities. We have 10 children at a time and so booking is vital. Creativity and play is an important part of supporting well-being and with that in mind we have activities available that offer opportunity for children to explore this. Practitioners will work to build relationships with all attendees to support them in their emotional education through their conversations. For children only - parents to drop off and collect afterwards. These are stand alone sessions - so you do not have to commit to every week. This service is kindly being funded by Derby County Community Trust, though if you do wish to make a small donation to cover costs of resources there is the option to.
