Discover the complexities of anger, a profound emotion that can pose challenges for both children and the adults who support them. Unveiling the layers beneath anger, often obscured, particularly in the case of children, is a key focus of this 4-week course. Embark on a journey to understand the origins of our 'storms'—the triggers that ignite our anger—and delve into the intricate web of emotions woven by these triggers. Gain insights into the workings of the brain during anger and acquire coping tools designed to guide you and your child through these turbulent moments. Children grappling with intense anger often wrestle with low self-esteem, perceiving themselves as the issue. This perception hinders open communication and exploration, impeding the potential for positive, long-term outcomes. Our course creates a safe haven for exploration, fostering a collaborative space between you and your child. Together, we aim to enhance your understanding of anger, its purpose, and empower you to navigate the challenges and emotions it generates. This judgment-free space encourages children to be candid, with the option to keep shared thoughts within the confines of the room. Sharing is entirely voluntary, ensuring that this time serves as an opportunity for both you and your child to connect, reset, and navigate this path together. The course fee includes participation for one adult and one child, along with all necessary resources. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions—we're here to support you. Pitched at children aged between 7-11 years old. The course is in-person at Friar Gate in Derby City. No refunds if cancelled less than 28 days before the start date.
