A parent and child session for children and young people over 10 years old. A supportive session to help children manage and understand anxiety. Developed for children currently homeschooled or on a reduced timetable. The session will have a focus of explaining anxiety a little and give options of activities for the parent and child to explore together, the practitioner will be able to support with questions. No child will be asked to share or engage with anyone other than their parent/carer. We will be largely focusing on coping strategies and increasing young people's tool box to help them manage the discomfort and fear of anxiety. Each child will create, to take away, a bag of grounding strategies and a coping card. There are 6 spaces available so a small group. The session is set up so that you and your child would sit together, you will be sat with only one other parent and child at your table, and the chairs are spaced out so that you can focus on just the two of you.
