Adult & Child Self-esteem Workshop

Service Description

JOIN US! STRENGTHS AND SUPPORT SYSTEMS! Often children can feel like they need to be like others, look like others, be good at the same things and act in the same way - that takes it's toll on our emotions. If your child talks negatively about themselves or gets stuck in a 'comparison trap' then this session is for you and them. In this workshop you will explore: What specific strengths and skills your child has. What makes them unique. What qualities you see in them that they might not see in themselves. We will then explore our 'Support Systems' so that we know when difficult thoughts and emotions creep in as a result of not feeling great about ourselves we know who we can talk to and why we have them in our support system. The children will design and create a pack of 'team support cards' to take away with them as well as a card that reminds them of their own strengths! The workshop is for you to attend as one parent/carer and one child, it's a small group but you will not be made to share anything with anyone else in the room - this is time for you two to connect and really get to explore everything that's amazing about them!
