JOIN US! Loss and separation anxiety are hard to talk about, often a child can feel like they are 'wrong' for feeling a certain way, confusion arises around the emotions they are experiencing. Children can experience a sense of loss over many different things: A death of a loved one. A transition into a new school/class/house. Parental separation or illness. They can also feel anxiety around being separated from you for many more reasons. Using the fantastic book by Patrice Karst, 'The Invisible String', we will gently explore how we can feel connected to those we love, wherever they are, emotions that can arise during these times of our life and offer simple ideas as to how we can cope with these feelings. This will be a creative based workshop and very gentle, giving you the space you need to explore this theme together, with professionals on hand should you have a difficult question that you would like support with answering. The workshop is for you to attend as one parent/carer and one child, it's a small group but you will not be made to share anything with anyone else in the room - this is time for you two to connect and really get to explore everything that's amazing about them! The cost covers both of your attendance and all resources. If you have any questions then please get in touch.
