Supporting Child Mental Health in School

Understanding Anxiety

  • 30 British pounds
  • Online Session

Service Description

Anxiety in children has been on the rise for many years and with the current pandemic it is even more important that school staff have the information necessary to manage their interactions and support with pupils. Anxiety is far more complex then people are led to believe and children can present with anxiety in many different ways, this can lead to perceptions being misunderstood and a break down of relationship occurring. This session looks further into anxiety and how it presents as well as offering practical ideas of how to interact, engage and support with children struggling. As with all of our sessions we link this to brain development to help empower school staff with knowledge that raises their confidence in their role, but also offers valuable insight to themselves and other relationships in their life. 100% of teachers who have attended these sessions would recommend them to a colleague. "Please come and work in our school!" "So relatable and engaging, thank you for being so open!"
