Service Description
Emotional Literacy underpins all of our work at Bridge the Gap and understanding what it is, it's value and the wider context of the impact Emotional Literacy has on long-term outcomes. Emotional Resilience is something we want for ourselves and our children, nurturing it's development helps improve mental health and well-being, but how can we do this in a way that doesn't invalidate feelings or add shame or judgment for feeling them? As always we link this back to child development and explore the emotional brain together. This webinar has been updated to include a further element on how Emotional Literacy helps children to maintain a growth mindset and move towards their goals instead of away from them. Quite simply, once you understand the importance of this area, you have a greater understanding to support the children in your care, but also yourself. 100% of school staff who attended our training on Emotional Literacy would recommend it to a colleague. "I understand so many children that I have taught and continue to teach better now, I'm so excited to be able to support them in the development of their emotional literacy skills and resilience" "How many questions I have answered...I never knew they were answers I needed, thank you. Thank you as well for being so honest and approachable, a really engaging session - thanks for the scheduled breaks as well!"
