Child Mental Health Derby - Anxiety and Mental Health Support Our flagship course for parents, exploring all aspects of how to support your child's mental health, both proactively but also when in crisis. Delivered over three 1.5 hour sessions over three weeks (with an extra 4th catch up session 3 weeks later) Nikki Webster (specialist Mental Health Nurse) and Jennifer Wyman (Emotional Literacy Specialist) guide you through relaxed sessions to learn more about the below areas of child mental health. WEEK 1 - 9th Jan Understanding the 'Why' - the current issues facing children and why we are seeing such a big rise in children struggling to manage mental health. Initial Strategies and Discussion - Strategies to start today and your chance to discuss what's important to you. WEEK 2 - 16th Jan The Online World - keeping children safe online and social media use Sleep - how to support sleep Anxiety - an introduction to anxiety WEEK 3 - 23rd Jan Warning Signs and Keeping Safe Coping Strategies Emotional Literacy Resources You are then invited to attend a final 4th session to ask any questions that have come up since the course finished, what has helped, what you need more information on. This session is below. EXTRA CATCH UP SESSION - Tuesday 13th February - 6:30pm - 7:30pm (INCLUDED) No Refunds if cancelled with less than 14 days notice.
