The Memory Project - Grief Workshop

Service Description

The Memory Project is a gentle, creative two-week workshop for children aged 6–11 who have experienced the loss of someone important to them. Led by Milly from Bridge the Gap and Tara from Sam's Superheroes, with Daisy the therapy dog providing comfort and support throughout. The workshops offer a safe and nurturing space for children to explore their feelings, share memories, and connect with others who may have had similar experiences. Through storytelling, discussion, and hands-on creative activities inspired by books such as *The Memory Box* and *The Memory Tree*, children will be encouraged to remember and celebrate their special person in meaningful ways. Activities will include creating memory boxes, decorating plant pots, planting seeds, and exploring how memories can continue to grow and stay with us. Each workshop runs for 1.5 hours (10.30am–12.00pm) and is limited to just six children, creating a small and supportive group environment within our welcoming Rainbow Room. Workshop Dates: Block 1: Wednesday 29th July and Wednesday 5th August Block 2: Wednesday 26th August and Wednesday 2nd September Price is 'pay what you choose' from our variable menu starting at £30 for the 2 weeks. Payment covers all resources and a drink/biscuits for the children. Payment is for the two weeks.
